WebCT

This course will use WebCT as an additional tool for learning, testing, and communicating. Log in at this address.

To log in to WebCT use your CSN student ID, but drop the first two characters. For example, the WebCT login for a student who has a CSN student ID of C000563429 is 00563429.

Your WebCT password is the four digits number made up of your birth month and year in the format MMYY. So, if you were born in May 1985, your password is 0585.

Students with Disabilities

If you have a documented disability that requires assistance, contact the Disability Resource Center, 651-5089 for coordination of your accommodations.

For those student who would like to earn a little extra cash, stop by the DRC to fill out a job interest card. That office hires students as note takers, readers, proctors, scribes, lab assistants, and research assistants as needed.

Academic Dishonesty

According to the Schedule of Classes, "CSN demands a high level of academic behavior. Acts of academic dishonesty, including plagiarism and cheating, are regarded as very serious offenses."

If academic dishonesty is discovered in this class, the student will receive a grade of "F" for the exercise or test. During a test, do not talk to anyone other than the professor.

General Policies

I expect that you attend each class and arrive on time. If you are absent I still expect you to be responsible for reading the appropriate projects/chapters in the book. If you are absent, you will miss demonstrations that will not be repeated beyond the current topic day.

I teach the current topic by explaining concepts, terms, and then I provide short demonstrations of new tasks. I will sometimes demonstrate complete exercises and allow time for student practice and provide a question and answer period.

Withdrawing/Auditing

Any student who wishes to drop this class without a grade should do so before the February 1, 2008 deadline. Otherwise, the student will receive the grade earned.

Any student who wishes to audit the class should do so before the March 14, 2008 deadline.

It is the student's responsibility to initiate a drop from the class prior to the final drop date (April 25, 2008).
